RESPONSIBILITIES:

Preventive Maintenance, including (but not limited to):

  • Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
  • Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary.
  • Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance.
  • Change filters.
  • Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.
  • Daily inspection of facilities, keep checklist.
  • Prepares reports documenting work performed.
  • Replace damaged parts, bearings, rolls, hoses, motors, shafts, belts, web guides, etc.

Operations Support:

  • Troubleshoot any issues reported by operators.
  • Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines.
  • Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently.
  • Prepares reports documenting work performed.
  • Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies as well as orders replacement parts when required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Engineering / Project Support assistance

  • Unloading and installing new equipment
  • Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required.
  • Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required.

Plant Systems maintenance (where assigned)

  • Generator test (bi weekly)
  • Oxidizer maintenance: belts, solenoids, filters (Troubleshooting when required)
  • Line Inkjet printing systems.
  • Building systems including Fire Safety systems maintenance & inspection.
  • Cleaning of chopper motor blades(weekly), unclog chopper room pipes.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of related work experience and technical training.
  • High school graduate or GED required, technical school training in maintenance related courses are preferred.
  • Ability to understand and interpret design documents, manufacturer s specifications and written operational procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure teamwork and positive client/tenant/co-worker relations.
  • Be able to take direction and follow instructions.
  • Must be safety conscious.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
  • Basic aptitude for mathematics
  • Capable of doing extensive walking, climbing of stairs and ladders, lifting/carrying a minimum of 50 pounds by applying proper body mechanics
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new job-related software.
  • Have working knowledge of tools and their proper use.
